"iF Design Award" for nursing bed "contempora"
Innovation push receives significant recognition

The iF International Forum Design, Hanover, awarded the nursing bed "contempora" the internationally recognised "iF product design award 2005" in the medicine category. The nursing bed was developed in cooperation with “sieger-design“ as part of the innovation push. The well-known designer lent the creative rule of thumb "form follows function" remarkable new content. By awarding the prize, the members of the jury recognised that the nursing bed, whose homelike comfort is an integral part of its design, combines innovative functions that are intuitively and easily operated.
The award is internationally recognised as a prestigious design prize for industrially-manufactured products. However, the jury, comprising top class personalities, justified their decision in favour of "contempora" not just with the functionality, the level of innovation or the design quality of the nursing bed. The evaluation criteria ergonomics, safety and choice of materials were also rated as convincing.
